Curriculum
Administration and StaffThe pre-school is under the administration of the Pastor of Mater Dolorosa Parish and Principal of Mater Dolorosa School. The program is staffed by a full time teacher certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Additional staffing is in compliance with state and diocesan regulations.
TuitionThe 2008-2009 Preschool per day rate is $23. Upon enrollment, your child is guaranteed a slot in the 2, 3, 4 or 5 day program. Tuition credits will not be given for any day that your child does not attend because of snow days, short term illness or personal family reasons. If an extra activity day is added, payment for the extra day is due on that day. Tuition is due the first of every month with a late payment fee of $10 assessed if payment has not been received by the 15th of the month. Pre-school tuition is separate from that of any other tuition payment due to Mater Dolorosa School. EnrollmentAll pre-school students must be four years of age by September 1st of the year in which they are enrolling and must be toilet trained to be qualified for the program. ScheduleThe five day a week program follows the Mater Dolorosa School schedule. Pre-school begins at 8:00 a.m. with dismissal at 2:00 p.m. Parents have the option to enroll their child for a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day week. Our school follows guidelines set forth by the Holyoke Public School System. Lunch and SnacksChildren enrolled in the Pre-School Program are welcome to participate in the school's hot lunch program. Lunch is available at $2.25 per day. Chocolate or white milk is also available at $.50 for children who choose to bring cold lunch. Mater Dolorosa Pre-School will provide a healthy snack to the children each morning. Milk or juice will be provided with the morning snack. PARENTS ARE ADVISED TO INFORM THE TEACHER OF ANY ALLERGIES THEIR CHILD MAY HAVE.
